When I first stumbled upon Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park I had been driving along the southern border of Alberta. Cattle country. There were "Texas Gates" right on the highway. It was flat and not much to see. I turned at a sign for the park and drove down into one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. I had to go back to the park a couple more times before the weather and the light finally came together to get this image.
