Aurora Borealis

Working in the cold all day with only a few moments for food and a washroom break can wear you out. After shooting until last light we would head in and start our backups. Around 5pm we would have a glass of wine. Dinner would follow. By 9:30pm I was usually getting sleepy and would head for bed and fall fast asleep. If the Northern Lights were active, George the night watchman would knock on our door and announce, "NORTHERN LIGHTS!" We would jump out of bed and go out into the cold. I stood on a tower platform for this shot of the Northern Lights over Hudson Bay.
