Canoe on Lake Temagami
The Temagami Region is well known for its old growth red and white pine forests and its appeal to cottagers, houseboaters and canoeists. In this picture Lake Temagami, the largest lake in the area is quite calm and flat. But like all large lakes the winds can pick up and pose a challenge when travelling by canoe. On one trip into the region we arrived back at the access point soaked and with a few inches of water in the bottom of our canoe caused just by the waves. Luckily we always keep the camera gear stored in waterproof packs.
