Sabine Island, Georgian Bay
While canoeing in French River Provincial Park Ron and I spent a couple of days camped on Sabine Island in Georgian Bay at the mouth of the historic French River. The island has many finger-like points that stretch out into the bay. Down its centre runs a series of rocks that reminded me of a giant backbone and ribcage. We celebrated our anniversary here swimming in the bay's cool waters.
